Features include a 1808 m runway, fully lit, with ILS, newly extended apron and improved Business Aviation Terminal (1996). London Southend Airport is a London regional airport that has been recently modernised. The passenger terminal has full security approvals, and capacity for 300,000 passengers a year. An excellent diversion airfield with a good weather record, ILS and radar (1996).
