Dr. Yiannis Paraschis was unanimously elected President of the European Region of the Airports Council International (ACI EUROPE) at the 17th ACI EUROPE Annual Assembly held in Zurich on 14 June 2007. Dr Paraschis took over after the two mandates of Manfred Schölch on 16 June for one year until June 2008.
Dr Paraschis is Chief Executive Officer at Athens International Airport S.A. where he has worked since 1996 and also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Athens Airport Fuel Pipeline Company S.A.. For the past five years, between 2002 and 2007, Paraschis held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the airport. Prior to his experience at the airport, Paraschis worked in International management consulting for over ten years. Dr Paraschis has worked with ACI EUROPE since 1997 and is also a member of the ACI World Governing Board.
Dr Paraschis holds an MSc in industrial engineering and a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

Olivier Jankovec, Director General, ACI EUROPE
Olivier Jankovec became the Director General of the European Region of the Airports Council International in September 2006. He first joined ACI EUROPE in March 2006 as Director of Strategy & Communications.
Olivier has over 12 years governmental and lobbying experience, having worked for Alitalia (2002-2006), Air France (2000-2002) and the Air Transport Directorate of the European Commission (1994-2000). Immediately prior to joining ACI EUROPE Olivier was the Director of Institutional Relations for Alitalia where he was in charge of governmental affairs at the national, European and international levels. During this time he was also Chair of the Association of European Airlines Policy Committee.
A French/Croatian national, Olivier speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish. He is a member of the European Aviation Club, has travelled extensively and is interested in photography and contemporary architecture.
